Interior Design

Quartet treat interior design as an integrated part of any architectural project. That is to say, it forms part of the thought process right from the initial scheme design stage rather than the more traditional approach whereby an architect will design up a structural shell and an interior designer will then dress it up with fixtures & finishes.
In fact, because our philosophy places the emphasis on the client’s individual lifestyle as the main influence on any proposed schemes, it is more likely that the interior design will dictate to the architectural, rather than vice-versa.
Our clients are individually minded people who lead real lives. Their interiors need to be practical multi-functional working spaces that simultaneously are an expression of personal tastes & styles. They get very involved in a project; they have strong creative ideas, which we take and turn into reality on their behalf, using our experience & technical resources.
We don’t believe in being given a ‘blank canvas’ by the client. This contradicts our philosophy of total objectivity when designing interiors. It has to be a two-way relationship. The finished product is so much more than just a striking interior scheme; it is your home. It is a way of expressing yourself in the same way as you do when you choose the clothes you wear. Would you let a comparative stranger select your wardrobe?
We offer colour consultancy, specialist decoration, antiques & fine art sourcing, soft furnishings & fabrics, audio/visual services, occasional furniture, finishes & fittings sourced from our extensive in-house library. |
